Staff and Governors are extremely pleased with the report as it highlights some of the many strengths and positive aspects of our school. It is testament to the long journey the school has been on since the last inspection. It also demonstrates the rewards of all the hard work and determination that the staff, governors, parents and pupils have put in; as well as acknowledging the support the school has received from the West Norfolk Academies Trust.

The inspection focused on:

· Effectiveness of leadership and management

· Quality of teaching, learning and assessment

· Personal development, behaviour and welfare

· Outcomes for pupils

· Early Years Provision

The school was judged ‘Good’ in all of these areas.

The report recognised that leaders plan effectively for improvement, drawing on their good knowledge of the school, and regularly check the impact of action taken. Governors and Trustees have clearly defined responsibilities and fulfil these well.

The report states that leaders are determined to ensure that pupils enjoy a broad and interesting curriculum. Consequently pupils say that there are lots of interesting things going on so they want to come to school. The wide range of opportunities ensure that pupils are well supported in developing as well-rounded, caring individuals. Teachers plan lessons which pupils find interesting and which engage them in learning. Pupils are confident and enjoy lessons; they are proud of their school. One pupil told the inspector, “We are all one big, happy family!”

Staff and Governors will be incorporating the next steps for development, highlighted in the report, as an integral part of our ongoing school improvement plan.
