Reception and Year 1
Willow Class
Willow Class has a strong ethos of learning new skills and developing through an effective balance of adult directed learning and child initiated play. Children are effectively challenged through our stimulating environment, resources and high quality questioning to enable them to reach their full potential.
Children are exposed to indoor and outdoor learning on a daily basis allowing them to learn from their immediate environment. As well as a focus on the specific areas of learning (reading, writing and maths) the children in Willow class are given many opportunities to develop their sense of well-being, relationships with their peers, speaking and listening skills and understanding of the world around them. This is through regular show and tell sessions, trips out such as the farm, caring for our class caterpillars and circle times!
We aim to support children to develop in all areas of the curriculum and their personal well-being to ensure they have a strong start on their journey of lifelong learning!
